Well, we love catering to your kinks, so we’ve scoured the net finding the ideal ‘hot bird foot’ shape. The first toe, or the back talon on an avian’s foot, is a pretty consistent feature, so while it adds a little complication to producing Strix, we knew we wanted it in the design. At the time of release, it’s fair to say Strix is the most highly-textured toy we’ve ever produced, rippled all over with scaling and detail; even inbetween the tightest parts of the toes.

For colour, we didn’t want to give you a flat hue – Strix’s signature style is double-shot cast, with a layer of lighter yellow rotocast on the outside for a flash of brightness, before the more subtle, warm avian colour fills in all the rest. This leaves you with a toy that’s brimming with detail visually; all those scales and finely packed bumps are subtly highlighted against the body of the paw.
